Viewing of the Website does not require any registration with or submission of information to Cut&Paste. However, some of the additional Services that we offer and additional functionality of the Website may require registration with or submission of information to Cut&Paste.

Information We Collect:

In order to become a registered User or create a Membership profile, you must first create an account. To create an account you may be asked to provide the following information: your name, email address, and choose an account password. Once a User, you may provide additional information in the profile section describing your skills, education, professional experiences, interests and networking objectives. Providing additional information beyond what is required at registration is optional, but enables you to better identify yourself and discover new opportunities in the Cut&Paste community.

The information we collect is also used to provide our products and Services to viewers of the Website and Users, including the display of customized content and advertising; audit, research and analyze in order to maintain, protect and improve our services; ensure the proper functioning of our network; and develop new services.

Cut&Paste's computer servers are located in the United States of America.

Cookies and Web Beacons:

cutandpaste.com uses cookies and web log files to track Website usage. A cookie is a tiny parcel of text sent by our computer server to your web browser, which in turn then sends back the cookie unchanged, by the browser each time it accesses that server. We use cookies for User authentication, tracking which cutandpaste.com web pages you view and maintaining specific information about Users, such as site preferences so that we may enhance the User's experience on the Website. To deliver these ads properly, Cut&Paste may include a file, called a web beacon, from these ad networks within pages served by Cut&Paste so the networks may provide anonymous, aggregated auditing, research and reporting for our advertisers as well as to target ads to you while you visit other websites.

Communications from Cut&Paste:

Cut&Paste may communicate with you through email and notices posted on the Website. Please be aware that Cut&Paste may send you emails related to the proper functioning of your account and the Services, such as email notices if there are disruptions in service. Cut&Paste may send e-mails to its mailing list with promotions of its products, services, events, and information on its sponsors products or services. Cut&Paste will never send you promotional information unless you have opted-in to its mailing lists.

Affiliated Sites:

We offer some of our Services in connection with other websites. Personal information that you provide to those websites may be sent to Cut&Paste in order to deliver the service and content. We process such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The affiliated sites may have different privacy practices and we strongly encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Choice

Where Cut&Paste collects personal information directly from individuals, Cut&Paste will offer individuals the opportunity to choose (or opt-in) to (a) receive promotional information form Cut&Paste (b) allow Cut&Paste to share their personal information with a non-agent third party, or (c) use personal information for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by the individual.

For example, we may share the number of Users who searched for a particular term, clicked on a particular advertisement or clicked / voted for a particular artwork. Such aggregated, non-personal information does not identify you individually.

Cut&Paste will take reasonable precautions to protect personal information in its possession from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. These precautions include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures.

Cut&Paste will use personal information only in ways that are compatible with the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently authorized by the individual. Cut&Paste will take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is relevant to its intended use, accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.

Access

Upon reasonable request, Cut&Paste will grant individuals reasonable access to personal information that it holds about them. In addition, Cut&Paste will take reasonable steps to permit individuals to correct, amend, modify or delete information that is demonstrated to be inaccurate or incomplete if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. We provide information access and correction free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort.

Cut&Paste will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with the principles contained in this Privacy Policy. For complaints that cannot be resolved between the Cut&Paste and the complainant, Cut&Paste agrees to participate in the dispute resolution procedures of the panel established by the European Data Protection Authorities to resolve disputes pursuant to the Safe Harbor Principles.
